The FYI Awards shine a light on the programs, leaders, and young people who create meaningful opportunities for youth across Connecticut. Whether you run a sports team, a youth development program, a student-led initiative, a dance group, a mentoring program, or a creative arts space, the FYI Awards are for you.

This is your chance to showcase your impact and help shape the statewide story of what young people need to feel connected, supported, and ready for the future.

A Customized SEE360â„¢ Snapshot

A powerful insight tool that provides a real-time look at the strengths, needs, and trends within your youth group.
Programs use their Snapshot to:

  • inform grants and funding proposals

Every applicant gets this — free.

Opportunities to Share Your Story

Applicants may submit photos, videos, testimonials, and youth quotes for statewide features, allowing programs to amplify their mission and impact.

Connection to Youth Voice Work

Programs can participate in Youth Voice Conversations, where young people share their experiences, needs, and ideas in a safe, guided environment. These insights support your program AND shape the statewide FYI Data Reveal.

What Finalists Receive

Finalists receive everything above, plus elevated support and recognition.

A Full SEE360 Insight Report

Finalists receive deeper data that includes a more detailed analysis of their youth group, trends by domain, and actionable recommendations.

This is a valuable tool programs often pay for.

Award Categories

FYI offers two award tracks:

Program Awards

For any youth-serving group, including:

  • sports teams
  • youth development programs
  • arts & dance programs
  • mentoring groups
  • school clubs
  • college organizations
  • faith-based groups
  • community programs

Individual Awards

For young people with powerful ideas to strengthen youth support, opportunities, or wellbeing.

This category celebrates creativity, leadership, and vision.

Eligibility

Programs and individuals must:

  • Be based in Connecticut
  • Serve youth ages 14–22
  • Submit a complete application by the deadline
  • Participate in SEE360 Snapshot or Youth Voice components

There is no cost to participate.
